Halibut Fishing

Last week I went out on a charter boat and did a little halibut fishing with my Friends Steve and John. We left from Neah Bay on the tip of the NW Washington coast and headed out into the ocean at 5:00AM. After a three hour trip into Canadian waters we fished on a shelf 300 feet down. The weather was very good and the water was calm. After an hour of fishing, everyone on the boat had their limit of two halibut each. It was a great day of fishing and a great way to spend my birthday.

Apparently there are Orcas somewhere out in the ocean, but I didn't happen to see any. But I think this is what they might look like if they were to swim by.

Nice fish Jim. I never did see a halibut underwater.
